Job Introduction

We have an exceptional opportunity for a Graduate Sport Rehabilitator/MSK Clinician to join our team in Birmingham. This role will involve 4 days remote work and 1 day face-to-face.
 
You will play a fundamental role in providing support to patients by delivering musculoskeletal (MSK) treatments and running gym-based rehabilitation sessions. You will utilise your MSK knowledge to provide assessments, treatment and education to individuals with MSK symptoms and chronic conditions. Doors will be opened for you to work with a range of clients whilst you manage a caseload of patients in a professional manner. Our team usually work 8:00am – 16:00pm but we are always happy to be flexible. Our office hours are 8:00am – 18:00 pm Monday to Friday.

Essential
  • Have completed a BASRaT accredited degree. E.g. Sport Rehabilitation.
  • Full graduate member of BASRaT and entitled to the use of the title Graduate Sports Rehabilitator.
  • Experience of working individually and within a team.
  • Proven experience of managing a caseload of patients and running rehabilitation classes.
  • Ability to set goals, and design individualised and progressive rehabilitation programmes.
  • Adept in time management and prioritisation.
  • Sound MSK knowledge including assessment/treatment of common conditions of the spine, upper limb and lower limb. Awareness of Post-operative protocols and precautions.
  • Basic knowledge of the Occupational Health (OH) sector including benefits of Physiotherapy OH.
  • Friendly and approachable with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team Player.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the client.
  • An awareness of and commitment to supporting and facilitating diversity and inclusion.
Desirable:
  • One year MSK/Occupational Health experience in a clinical setting.
  • Experience of working with Physiotherapists.
  • Functional testing and fitness for work testing (e.g. lift, push/pull).
  • Return to work planning.
  • An up-to-date CPD portfolio.
